Vietnam War Slang Series. Panel 10 of 26 – J is for John Wayne

J is for John Wayne a panel for the painting The FNG by Oliver Smith ©2017

The Vietnam War slang “John Wayne” crops up a lot for various different meanings in the Vietnam War, my favorite use was for the soldier that was going a bit too “bizerk” in a fire fight, exposing himself to direct fire as if was imortal just like that unstopable cowboy.
